SAIC Delivered 347,000 Units in May, Announces Solid-State Battery Mass Production Plan

In May 2024, SAIC Group achieved a total end-delivery of 347,000 units, maintaining its industry-leading position. The wholesale vehicle sales volume reached 332,000 units. Monthly deliveries of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and overseas market sales both approached the 100,000 mark, showing significant growth.

  • SAIC’s self-owned brand end-delivery volume reached 210,000 units, accounting for 60.8% of the company’s sales.
  • NEV end-delivery volume was 97,000 units, a 27.4% year-on-year increase.
  • Overseas market end-delivery volume was 99,000 units, a 20.1% year-on-year increase.

Additionally, at the “Towards a New Decade: SAIC Group New Energy Technology Release Conference” held on May 24, SAIC officially unveiled the new generation “Seven Technological Foundations” to create new growth engines for new pathways. This includes solid-state batteries set for mass production in 2026, with an energy density exceeding 400Wh/kg, enhanced safety features, and improved low-temperature performance.
