On June 12, 2024, BYD held the “Soccer Youth Onward” departure ceremony at its headquarters in Shenzhen Pingshan. A hundred young Chinese soccer players and their coaches are set to travel to Germany for a six-day educational visit. During their trip, they will attend the Euro Cup opening ceremony and witness world-class soccer events. They will also play friendly matches with Munich 1860 and Rosenheim youth teams. BYD aims to provide these young athletes with opportunities to experience high-level competition and nurture their dreams.
In January this year, BYD officially became an official partner of the 2024 Euro Cup, marking the first collaboration with a Chinese car brand. Leveraging this opportunity, BYD recruited talented and ambitious soccer youths nationwide and partnered with Sun Jihai’s youth training organization “Sea Selection for the Future” to support the future of Chinese soccer.
In 2023, BYD’s annual car sales exceeded 3.02 million, securing the top spot in both China’s and the global new energy vehicle markets. In Europe, BYD has launched several new energy vehicles in over 20 countries and opened more than 260 stores. BYD leads the global automotive industry transformation with its technological prowess, setting a new benchmark for Chinese new energy vehicles.
