Ford, BMW, and Honda have officially begun operating ChargeScape, a new company focused on optimizing electric vehicle grid services. ChargeScape is a software platform that integrates electric vehicles into the power grid, enhancing grid stability while saving drivers money on charging. The technology wirelessly connects to EVs and works with participating utilities to manage home charging when the grid is constrained, and can even send energy back to the power grid when needed.
