V. Anand Sankaran, Director of Ford Ion Park, stated in a LinkedIn article that Ford’s hybrid vehicle plan is hitting its stride after 20 years. Since launching the world’s first hybrid SUV, the Escape Hybrid, in 2004, Ford has focused on developing hybrid technology, leading to popular models like the Maverick and F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid. Having sold over 1.3 million hybrid vehicles in the U.S., Ford continues to advance hybrid technology and its electrification strategy.
