Mitsubishi Motors Receives Order for 3,000 Minicab EVs from Japan Post for Delivery Vehicles

On July 8, 2024, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takao Kato) announced that it has received an order for 3,000 units of its light commercial electric vehicle, the Minicab EV, from Japan Post Co., Ltd. The vehicles will be delivered starting this fall.

Since 2013, Mitsubishi has delivered over 5,000 units of the previous model, the Minicab MiEV, to Japan Post, leading to this new order based on the successful track record of Mitsubishi’s EVs over the past 11 years. The Minicab EV offers a driving range of 180 km (WLTC mode), ample cargo space, and powerful motor performance even with heavy loads. Its zero CO2 emissions, high quietness, and convenience of no need for refueling during work hours have been well received, contributing to Japan Post’s environmental management initiatives.

Mitsubishi Motors President Kato expressed his gratitude for the new contract of 3,000 units, emphasizing the company’s commitment to contributing to a sustainable society through the development, production, and promotion of electric vehicles.
