The Mercedes-Benz 230 G, introduced by the German Life Saving Association (DLRG) in 1982, served as a reliable rescue vehicle for nearly 40 years. Known for its off-road capabilities, it played a crucial role in water-related emergencies, navigating challenging terrains such as flooded areas and beaches. The vehicle, equipped with specialized gear for diving and disaster response, was retired in 2021 and is now displayed in the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
