On August 29, 2024, Honda announced its automobile production, sales, and export results for July 2024. Domestic production reached 61,679 units, a 104.6% year-on-year increase, marking a return to growth after two months. Overseas production increased to 233,346 units, up 105.0% year-on-year, ending a three-month decline, though the January-July cumulative total decreased by 6.7% year-on-year. Globally, production in July reached 295,025 units, up 105.0% year-on-year, but the cumulative total for the first seven months was down 5.2% year-on-year. Domestic sales rose significantly to 59,782 units, a 125.5% increase year-on-year, marking the 12th consecutive month of growth. Exports totaled 4,892 units, down 17.5% year-on-year, but the cumulative total for the first seven months increased by 14.1% year-on-year.
