BMW | Reducing CO2 emissions from the Paint Shop
BMW has successfully replaced the traditional gas-based exhaust purification process in its paint shops with the electric regenerative thermal oxidation (eRTO) system. This innovation uses renewable electricity to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The system has been tested at Regensburg and BMW Brilliance Plant Lydia in China, and will be expanded to European plants. Source: Here

BMW Replaces Water with Limestone in Paint Shops to Save Resources – BMW Group
The BMW Group has implemented dry separation technology using limestone powder in its Dingolfing and Regensburg paint shops.
