During NIO IN 2024, the “SkyOS Tianshu” system was introduced as NIO’s vehicle-wide operating system, managing the complex battery swap process. This system integrates multiple domains such as vehicle connectivity, control, autonomous driving, and digital cockpit, coordinating them in real-time to ensure seamless interaction between the vehicle, station, and cloud. The system remains “busy” throughout the process, from the vehicle’s approach to the battery swap station to the final stage of driving away.
