The cumulative order volume for the new “FREED,” which Honda released on June 28, 2024, reached approximately 38,000 units as of July 27, about one month after its launch, marking a strong start at about six times the monthly sales plan (6,500 units/month).
The customer base mainly includes those switching from the previous FREED, kei cars, and compact cars, ranging from families to singles. The 2-motor hybrid system “e,” which delivers powerful performance at low speeds and fuel efficiency, has been highly appreciated. Additionally, the two distinct personalities of the refined “FREED AIR” and the playful “FREED CROSSTAR” are well-received. The walk-through feature and practical interior space also add to its appeal.
