At 21:00 on July 21, Guangzhou was announced as the host city for NIO Day 2024, narrowly surpassing Hangzhou in the final minutes. A total of 367,079,893 votes were cast during the bidding process, with Guangzhou receiving 170,439,352 votes, Hangzhou 167,981,338 votes, and Xiamen 28,659,203 votes.
