On July 10, SAIC Motor Corporation held its 23rd meeting of the 8th Board of Directors, where Wang Xiaoqiu was elected as the chairman of the board. Additionally, Jia Jianxu was appointed as president. The previous chairman, Chen Hong, resigned due to retirement.
Wang Xiaoqiu, born in 1964, holds a Ph.D. in engineering and has held various positions at Shanghai Volkswagen and other companies. Jia Jianxu, born in 1978, has an MBA and has worked at Yan Feng Johnson Controls and Shanghai Automotive Industry Hong Kong, among others.
