On July 7, Beijing time, the 2024 Silk Road Mile Red Flag convoy arrived in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and invited guests from the Chinese Embassy in Georgia, the Georgian government, and chambers of commerce to participate in offline promotional activities for cultural and business exchanges. Georgia has a long history and rich culture and has maintained a long-term friendship with China. In ancient times, Georgia was an important relay station on the ancient Silk Road; today, Georgia is a staunch supporter and active participant in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Lazaria Dromidava, Chief Manager of the Tourism Development Department of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, delivered a speech at the event. Riley Shaftah, Vice President of FAW Hongqi Georgia Dealer E-Motors, also sent blessings and presented a “Silk Road Sharing Gift.” In an interview, Shaftah stated that the brand and comfort of FAW Hongqi are unparalleled, and Hongqi will undoubtedly shine in the European market in the future.
The Honqi Racing team is set to embark on their journey again, heading to their next destination, Turkey.
