Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. has notified the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism of a recall for the Gran Max, Toyota Town Ace, and Mazda Bongo. The issue stems from insufficient verification of battery holders, which may cause the battery to move excessively and the holder to detach in the event of a rear collision. All vehicles will have the battery holder replaced and a battery stopper added.
