Toyota Group has faced multiple certification issues since 2022. In February, Chairman Akio Toyoda launched the “Certification TPS Study Group” to improve the certification process. Four Toyota Group companies (Hino, Daihatsu, Toyota Industries, and Toyota) are collaborating to streamline and rectify certification processes, emphasizing onsite verification and review of extensive documentation. The initiative aims to reduce inefficiencies and establish systems to detect and promptly address issues, preventing recurrence.
