Volkswagen’s revenue for the first nine months of 2024 was impacted by increased fixed costs and restructuring expenses in a challenging market. While the automotive segment saw a 1% revenue decline, overall Group sales rose by 0.9% year-on-year to €237.3 billion, mainly due to growth in Financial Services. Operating profit dropped from €16.2 billion to €12.9 billion, with an operating margin of 5.4%. Vehicle deliveries totaled 6.5 million, a 4% decrease, with a 12% decline in China offset by a 9% increase in Western Europe orders. The company projects full-year deliveries of around 9 million vehicles in 2024.
