Daihatsu reported a decline in both domestic and overseas production and sales for September and the April-September period in 2024. Domestic production saw a decrease due to reduced demand for small vehicles, while production in Indonesia and Malaysia also declined, leading to a consecutive drop in global production year-on-year. Both domestic and overseas sales recorded a second consecutive monthly decrease. For the April-September period, overseas production dropped due to a decline in Indonesia, marking the first year-on-year decrease in four years, though sales in Malaysia increased for the fourth consecutive year.
