Suzuki and Toyota have agreed to expand their collaboration by having Suzuki supply a battery electric SUV to Toyota as an OEM. Production of the new model is set to start in India by spring 2025, with sales launching globally. This partnership marks the first BEV supply between the companies and represents a significant step towards carbon neutrality. The BEV unit and platform were jointly developed by Suzuki, Toyota, and Daihatsu.
