OpenAI has introduced sCM (Simplified Continuous-time Consistency Models), which simplifies the theoretical formulation and scales for large datasets. This approach achieves sample quality comparable to diffusion models in just two steps, with a ~50x speedup. The 1.5B parameter model generates a sample in just 0.11 seconds, opening new possibilities for real-time applications across various domains.
