On September 18, local time, the “China-EU Electric Vehicle Industry Chain Symposium” was held in Brussels, Belgium, with representatives from about 30 companies, including Shanghai Automotive. Discussions centered on resolving the EU’s anti-subsidy case against China’s electric vehicles and deepening cooperation in the industry chain. Wang Wentao of China’s Ministry of Commerce emphasized the need for cooperation between Chinese and European automakers, warning that the EU’s investigation could impact investments and the global trade order.
