China FAW has been deeply involved in South Africa for 30 years, contributing to industrial upgrading, economic development, and societal prosperity. In 1994, the FAW Jiefang CA141 truck entered the South African market, becoming the first Chinese car brand in the country. In 2012, the Coega assembly plant was established as a commercial vehicle production base with an annual capacity of 5,000 units. China FAW is also committed to promoting employment and talent development, offering local training programs and supporting social welfare initiatives, fostering deeper cooperation with South Africa.
