In July 2024, Toyota (including Lexus) recorded global sales of 857,982 units, representing 99.8% of the previous year’s figures. Sales increases were particularly notable in certain regions of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, while some declines were observed in North America and certain European markets. In North America, the cessation of production for the TX and Grand Highlander, along with fewer business days, contributed to the decline. In Europe, the UK saw a drop in demand due to ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) mandates, while Italy also experienced a decrease compared to the previous month. In China, despite strong sales of the new Granvia and efforts to strengthen sales activities such as trade-in incentives, the continued price competition and tough market conditions resulted in a decline compared to the previous year.
