China’s Only! Hongqi L4 Autonomous Driving Enters a New Era of Driverless Technology

Recently, Hongqi’s third-generation L4 class Robotaxi successfully obtained an unmanned road test notification from the Beijing Intelligent Connected Vehicle Policy Pilot Zone. This makes FAW Group the only domestic OEM to receive such a permit, highlighting Hongqi’s outstanding technological strength and leadership in autonomous driving technology.

Developed by FAW (Nanjing) Technology Development Co., Ltd., Hongqi’s third-generation L4 Robotaxi has completed over 100,000 kilometers of autonomous driving public road tests in the Beijing Policy Pilot Zone. The test routes cover more than 90% of the roads in the policy zone, and the autonomous driving system integrates multiple safety protections.
