Ingolstadt, July 8, 2024 – The limited-edition Audi RS 6 Avant GT2 represents the pinnacle of its model series. With exclusive exterior and interior details, this special edition model pays homage to the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO racing car from 1989. The RS 6 Avant GT in Nardo Grey appears in the stunning surroundings of the United States West Coast.
Featuring Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive and a powerful five-cylinder engine, the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO dominated North American racetracks in the late 1980s. This victorious vehicle now inspires the new top model: the Audi RS 6 Avant GT2. Limited to 660 units, the special model is showcased against the backdrop of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and the scenic landscapes of the region.
As the second-largest car market globally, the USA is a vital growth market for Audi. The company aims to strengthen its brand in North America, considering the region one of its three key pillars worldwide. As part of this strategy, ten new market launches are planned by 2026. Currently in its fourth generation, the Audi RS 6 Avant enjoys cult status in the USA.
