FAW-Volkswagen and Baosteel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Shanghai to collaborate on low-carbon “Green Steel.” This agreement aims to leverage their technological strengths to reduce carbon emissions in response to China’s dual-carbon strategy. The companies will begin supplying “Green Steel” components in 2024 and target a 30% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030.
