Toyota Motor Corporation submitted a report on August 9, 2024, detailing measures to prevent recurrence following a corrective order issued by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) on July 31, 2024. The report acknowledges the need for improvements in the company’s management involvement in certification processes and data management systems. Toyota plans to implement measures including enhanced involvement of the management in certification work and the establishment of an integrated management system from development to certification. Progress will be reported to MLIT on a quarterly basis.
