BYD has announced a multi-year strategic partnership with international mobility and delivery technology company Uber, planning to introduce 100,000 new BYD electric vehicles to Uber’s platform in key global markets. This cooperation will start in Europe and Latin America, and gradually expand to the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. The two companies are also considering providing drivers with charging discounts, maintenance or insurance discounts, and financing and leasing solutions based on market conditions. BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu stated, “BYD and Uber are committed to innovation and working together towards a cleaner, greener world.”
