Toyota Motor Corporation announced receiving a corrective order from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) concerning issues with type approval applications. The causes were identified as unclear internal rules and insufficient management of necessary resources on the ground, and insufficient involvement and understanding by management. Toyota plans to reform its certification processes and report preventative measures to MLIT. Additionally, the announcement mentions the resumption dates for the production of certain models.
