On June 6, 2024, Changan Automobile and GAC Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Chongqing. This agreement aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Chinese automobile industry by collaborating on common platforms and technologies, industrial chain ecosystems, international business, and industrial funds. The signing was witnessed by key figures including Wang Xia, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade’s Automotive Industry Committee, and senior officials from both companies. GAC Group’s Chairman, Zeng Qinghong, emphasized that this partnership is crucial for improving the competitiveness of both groups and achieving sustainable development. Changan Automobile’s Chairman, Zhu Huarong, highlighted that the collaboration would leverage both companies’ strengths to address industry challenges and provide superior products and services to users.
