On July 19, the European Commission held a special hearing in Brussels regarding the anti-subsidy investigation at SAIC’s request. SAIC submitted its defense against the preliminary ruling, stating the European Commission’s preliminary ruling is unfair, unreasonable, and illegal. SAIC reserves the right to take further legal action before the final ruling on November 2. SAIC challenged calculation errors in the preliminary disclosure and objected to the temporary countervailing duties. The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products also highlighted violations of WTO rules and emphasized the importance of China-EU cooperation.
