Mercedes-Benz Classic completed the historic London to Brighton Veteran Car Run with a 1904 Mercedes-Simplex 28/32 hp, crossing the 96-kilometre route successfully. This event, held every first Sunday of November, saw Marcus Breitschwerdt, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Heritage GmbH, behind the wheel. A display of classic vehicles took place at St James’s in London the day before the event, including a 1955 Mercedes-Benz W 196 R Formula One car and a 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT. The run dates back to the 1896 “Emancipation Run,” commemorating the lifting of speed restrictions.
