McLaren achieved a historic front-row lockout in the final 2024 WEC race at Bahrain, with Josh Caygill securing pole in the #95 car, just 0.002 seconds ahead of teammate James Cottingham in the #59 car. During the race, both cars led initially, with the #59 car finishing in 6th place and the #95 car in 8th, marking a strong finish to McLaren’s debut WEC season with multiple points finishes and two pole positions.
