Maruti Suzuki, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has decided to absorb its subsidiary Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG) to streamline operations in India and reduce management costs. The merger is expected to improve efficiency by consolidating all four-wheel production under Maruti Suzuki. The shareholder meeting is scheduled for April 2025, with the merger to be completed by September 2025. Post-merger, Maruti Suzuki will retain its current name and location.
