Mercedes-Benz | Mercedes-Benz opens own recycling factory to close the battery loop

Mercedes-Benz has opened Europe’s first battery recycling factory in Kuppenheim, Germany, using a mechanical-hydrometallurgical process with an expected recovery rate of over 96%. This facility supports sustainable raw material use and CO2-neutral operation, producing enough recycled material for over 50,000 new battery modules annually.
