Honda | Saitama Plant Recognized as a “Nature Coexistence Site” by Ministry of the Environment

Certified for biodiversity conservation to achieve the 30by30 target

Honda’s Saitama Automobile Plant (Yorii Plant) has been recognized as a “Nature Coexistence Site” by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment. This certification acknowledges the plant’s efforts in biodiversity conservation, which include preserving 30% of the site as green space and undertaking “Satoyama Management” to maintain the regional ecosystem. The plant also uses rice paddy biotopes to promote biodiversity awareness among local residents.
